Sunshine and Donations from Florida

Three skeins, red, blue and moss green or sage green.  Never quite sure what to call this shade, but it's a great shade that's nice to have on hand, as it blends in with so many colors.  These 3 skeins came with the goodies below

from our friend Alexia L in Florida.  She's donating crocheted hats, for men, women, and children and fun crayon colored squares.  Let's keep our friend Alexis in our hearts and minds, as her Arthritis is now keeping her from crocheting.  I know how I would, as would many of you; go through withdraw.  We appreciate your support, and hope you'll continue to visit us here on Bridge and Beyond; even if your hands won't allow you to stitch any longer.  Take Care of yourself, and again many thanks!

If memory serves me right, I have some very similar fun colored squares in my holding area, perhaps I can put them all together and design a cheery afghan with them, if not those in my memory...there will be something...I know.  Stay tuned.

Pretty Donations from a Mother and Daughter Team

Our mother and daughter team of Liz (minnisoda from the ville) and Lindsay from Minnesota have donated squares, hats, and scarves.  Liz crochets and her daughter Lindsay knits.  A wonderful team effort and an awesome donation.

I can hardly wait to play with your squares Liz, love them all, but the ones with the flowers in the center are adorable!  I had to show lots of restraint not to immediately do something with them, as I'm currently working on 3 afghans.  Knitted one, and putting together 2 from donated squares, so really had to force myself to bag your squares.  Those flower ones have to be spring ghan for sure....Spring Bouquet might end of being the name of it.

Warm Donations for the Homeless

Wonderful donation from our friend, Dorothy M. from Virginia.  Nice warm mittens in a variety of sizes and colors.

AND clapping because they're nicely labeled with size.  This is something I'm asking everyone to do, please.  I try on mittens, and hold up stretch and try on some hats to try and determine size, to determine which bag they should go into in order to get to the right person/organization.  I honestly can't try on everything, nor is that method the best option.  Anytime I have to take additional time here, it delays your wonderful items getting to those in need.  Nothing fancy is needed.  These are nice little white tags that can be purchased very inexpensively.  Notes are hand written which is fine.  You save me huge amount of time, as well as the shelters at the other end.  Please label and pair mittens, slippers.  Label hats.  Scarves aren't an issue.  I don't know what size you made, but you know by what pattern you followed, or by what you intended to make.

**Reminders:
Please stay current with size, color, and fiber requirements by reading the tabs across the top of the blog BEFORE you take time to knit/crochet and mail items.
Please always work in your tails, as you go
PLEASE PLEASE, do not send any donations without a note with your name and email addy.  I sometimes spend hours trying to figure out who someone is.
Please keep furry friends at bay and or launder your items before mailing and avoid spraying with perfumes, so many of us have allergies.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
