Growing Up, Summer Squares

Apparently I neglected to post a date when this was scheduled to be posted a few days ago, hence it's delay. These are the squares, growing up a bit you saw in the previous post from our friend Diana K. I've named this one summer squares and am edging in a light variegated of tans and off white. Thus far...it just looks like off white. There are 35 squares in all.

Stay tuned, hoping to have it done soon.

When I Grow Up

**just realized the picture didn't show with this post, sorry folks, did an edit and here are the squares.**

When I grow up, I gonna be............a blanket, an afghan, a warm snuggly afghan blanket. These squares all 46 of them come from our good friend, Diana K. When I was taking them out of the box, they were very busy chatting and bonding with one another, discussing what they were going to be when they grew up. lol

And why not? Most of us feel our yarn talks to us, so why not squares? Stay tuned to see what they become on down the road.

Thank you Diana K, you're awesome.

Hats and Scarves Fabulous Donation

Looks at these wonderful hats and scarves, sets and separates. So nicely made. I love the size of your scarves Diana, nice and long and wide that makes them so much warmer for folks. Great adult and or teen sizing.

Many thanks Diana for your thoughtful donation and your on going support. Both are truly appreciated. Great color selection too! Lots of folks will be warmed with this donation. Keep up the good work.

Diana hails from the state of Georgia, not much of a need for warm hats and scarves down south. Thrilled you're using your talents to help us up north!

Excitement for Bridge and Beyond

The above is a picture of a just released new book about crocheting, the healing benefits of it. A fellow blogger, Kathryn Vercillo is the author. She writes a blog, Crochet Concupiscence, that I highly recommend you visit. Please notice she's been added to the blog log here on Bridge and Beyond. (the picture of the book is a live link and will take you to the amazon page where you can order it and read a bit more about the book and Kathryn)

The excitement I wanted to share with you all today is she has listed Bridge and Beyond in her book in the resource section. How cool is that! Naturally I appreciate this, as it gets the word out about what we all do here together as a team. The knitting and crocheting, and the caring that goes on...day after day, stitch after stitch.

I was surprised, and thrilled when she informed me she listed Bridge and Beyond
in her book. What a sweet and thoughtful thing to do. And so, I hope you all pop over and visit her on her blog and add the book to your shopping list. It's not yet in local book stores, but is available on line through Amazon....which is awesome, we can order sitting here in the comfort of our computers chairs, while...we're no doubt crocheting and knitting as we speak, read and write. (to order through amazon click the picture above). AND for you hi-tech Kindle types CLICK HERE

Thank you Kathryn, and best of luck with your book sales.

AND if you missed yesterday post about how you can help get text book for school to kids in need, PLEASE scroll back. Help is need, and this is something non crocheters and knitters can do. This is something you can do when you need a wee break from your yarn. This is something you can to give even more. Thank You!

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
