Knitting and Crocheting and Winding up Donations for 2018

Thank you Sandra R!  Your donation is the last official donation of the year 2018.  Lovely, as always.  Hats and matching mitts.  And yes...I am clapping and dancing, like always when we get mittens.  And truly Sandra's are fantastic.  Look what wonderful colors she's chosen for hats and mittens!  And as always, many thanks for tagging the hats and mittens with size.  (nudge nudge...some hats still come without sizes and it really slows things down for the volunteers, so please folks, tag your hats, mittens and slippers).
AND she's also included scarves, suitable for men and women in a variety of sizes and colors!

Many thanks Sandra for your on going support of Ohio's homeless here on Bridge and Beyond.

**The counts on our progress bars are current. All donations regardless of size and number are valued. All donations are appreciated. The Power of One is awesome, and when we work together The Power of One becomes The Power of Many.

Knitting and More for Ohio's Homeless

YIPPEE, we're still counting donations from the year 2018, and here are more lovely knitted scarves and cotton washcloths from our friend Sue S.  LOVE the blue scarf, such a nice variegated and both scarves are suitable for a man or a woman.  That's a double plus.  Hand warmers and other personal care items round out Sue's thoughtful donation.

Special kudos to Sue who is so faithful with her daily visits to the blog and her always supportive comments on what we're doing here on Bridge and Beyond.  She's truly our greatest cheerleader.  Thank you Sue.  I truly appreciate all that you do.

A donation came in yesterday which will be the last one to count towards our 2018 totals, so please keep checking in..........maybe you want to wager a guess to whom our last donation of the year is from?  If you do, post it in the comments, it'll be fun to see what folks think.

Crocheted Cotton Wash Cloths for Homeless

Looks, we got more cotton washcloths!  These are crocheted by our friend, Anne G.  Look at the fun variety of sizes, styles, and colors.  AND check out the two cute little fish!!

As I mentioned in the preceding post, cotton washcloth make such a nice donation because they have multiple uses.  No, they don't keep anyone warm; but they do help with ones personal hygiene.   Cotton washcloths are much softer and nicer to the body then traditional washcloths, plus they make people feel special ...that's always nice.  Not only are they used in bathing, but also as dish cloths for those in home situations and are included in welcome home packs.

Many thanks and keep up the good work Anne.

Crocheted Blue Scarf Warms Homeless

Thank you Sandie P from Louisiana for this awesome blue scarf.  Folks please be sure to click on the picture to enlarge it so you can see the texture.  Very nice indeed and who doesn't like blue!  Blue works for adults men or women, blue works for teens......again male or female.  Lovely scarf.

Many thanks Sandie for your many years of supporting Bridge and Beyond and Ohio's homeless through your crocheting.  You do make a difference and we're grateful for your dedication.

Not quite ready to close the books and give you final totals for donations during the year of 2018....please keep checking in folks.  And when you come and visit and read, please do leave a comment.  If you don't, I don't have anyway of knowing you were hear.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
