Mittens and Hats Help the Homeless

Reminders:
*Please include a note with your donation folks with your email, saves me trying to figure out whom you are in order to let you know the mail arrived safe and sound.

***Remember to avoid light colors, pastels, whites, and lots of bold colors as the darker colors serve a wider range of the population we strive to serve

**Thinking about making a scarf?  Here's the tab for scarves with all the necessary information you need to know about sizes, colors, and fibers.  Click HERE.  Notice all the tabs across the top of the blog?

Please remember what fibers to avoid folks as you knit and crochet your special donations.  The only thing cotton fiber should be used for is the cotton washcloths.  Cotton isn't warm enough or durable enough for a hat, scarf and other items.  Wool and suede should also be avoided.  Washable wool however is wonderful!  Acrylic of course works for everything.  If you have questions about something, please check with me by using the contact form here on the blog, leaving a comment here on the blog, or emailing me at sandycrochet@gmail.com.

**Stay tuned folks for donations from: Sandy R,  SSeger, Patricia C, Karen J, and Barbara F**

Clapping for Mittens

Thank you Sally B.  Awesome mittens.  You know how excited I get when we get mittens.  We always need them.  These are awesome, soft, warm and so well made.  And Congrats to you.  Sally shared that she had made this with 4 needles...that would DP's (double pointed) for our non-knitters out there.  Something that's been on my list of things to learn for some time now.  I have purchased needles in order to practice, but that's as far as I've gotten.  Well done and keep up the good work Sally B.

Wish you were here sitting beside me to teach me...that would awesome.

Would love to have a summer gathering for anyone local or near by.  If you're local and or near by, please leave a comment and or email me at sandycrochet@gmail.com so I can begin to compile a list of people to notify as the time approaches.  I see a fun day of getting to know each other and getting some knitting/crocheting done at the same time.  Thus far, I believe I've heard Dodi, Sherry K., and Tristi K are interested.  Who else?

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
