West Broad Street Elementary Children in Need

I wanted to share this nice thank you note from West Broad Street Elementary school.  I hope you're able to read it when you click to enlarge, as it's a picture rather then a scan.  Not sure why, but had difficulties when I tried to scan it and get it posted for you.  West Broad Street has many children in need, some of whom are in fact homeless.  How nice the children can now go outside and play with their friends vs staying indoors because of not having warm items to wear.

They also included a nice newsletter indicating things the school is doing.  They discussed attendance and it's importance to the families, talk about parent teacher conferences, and other important school matters.

THANKS SANDY. Nice to know where the things go and that childrens lives are a little happier because of it.

  2. Thanks Triti and Marj for your visits and comments. I so agree, it is heart warming to know we do make a difference.

  3. Thank you for sharing the letter. I am so glad that there are warmer children because of this group.

  4. Thanks so much for sharing this very encouraging letter! Just makes me want to knit FASTER!

  5. I agree with Sally from NJ. Just makes me want to go home and crochet all day!

  6. This is so heartwarming but also heartbreaking to think of kids without hats and mittens. I feel like I need to stay up all night knitting!

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
