Clapping for Mittens

Thank you Sally B.  Awesome mittens.  You know how excited I get when we get mittens.  We always need them.  These are awesome, soft, warm and so well made.  And Congrats to you.  Sally shared that she had made this with 4 needles...that would DP's (double pointed) for our non-knitters out there.  Something that's been on my list of things to learn for some time now.  I have purchased needles in order to practice, but that's as far as I've gotten.  Well done and keep up the good work Sally B.

Wish you were here sitting beside me to teach me...that would awesome.

Would love to have a summer gathering for anyone local or near by.  If you're local and or near by, please leave a comment and or email me at sandycrochet@gmail.com so I can begin to compile a list of people to notify as the time approaches.  I see a fun day of getting to know each other and getting some knitting/crocheting done at the same time.  Thus far, I believe I've heard Dodi, Sherry K., and Tristi K are interested.  Who else?

  1. What a beautiful donation Sally. I come from a family of knitters and although I cant knit a stitch myself remember sitting and watching aunts, mother, and sisters do it. I am left handed and no one thought they could teach me. These are lovely and such good basic colors that will work well for everyone. GOOD JOB.

  2. Such nice mittens! Great work Sally!
marj I am left handed too and I can't knit, I've tried to teach myself. I have had people stop and comment when they see me crocheting in public "you're crocheting... left handed?" I usually smile and nod. I didn't realize this was a novelty :-) Have a great weekend everyone!

  3. Hi Ladies! I am also left handed! My mom taught me everything right handed as a small child. So now all I do left handed is eat and write. I have to admit that sometimes my left handedness gets in the way of my thinking and I am very slow with learning but patience pays off. Thanks so much for all the nice comments!

Interestingly enough, when I was a small child they tried to "turn me" right handed in school and my father stopped it. Times have changed, obviously. You are definitely one of the few Sally, :+)) again GOOD JOB. Beautiful work.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
