Squares serve so many

crocheted squares
More squares to add to the designing fun I've been having for our Mothers and children at Faith Mission. Thank you Sandie in Louisiana for your crocheted squares. They will be put to good use and are very much appreciated.

We'll be collecting squares for 11 more days (until Jan 31st), for our "Give a Square" program. As of the writing of this post (as you know all are scheduled ahead), we have quite a few designed and ready for me to assemble. Remember Give a Square won't go away never to return. It will be dormat for awhile until such time I feel like we need to make more ghans; so please if you like making squares, keep doing so. If you like to make a square or two when you finish other projects with the left over yarn; continue to do that and put them aside. I will be posting another time for you to mail them in. This method I believe keeps things at a manageable level.

  1. Glad you got 'em, Sandy. I'm catching up today. All your planned ghans look lovely. Isn't it interesting how many different ways there are to put together squares and get a new look? You're so good at that. Then the borders and joining also add to the mix. Have fun!

  3. Those pink squares were made with the pink cotton you sent me as a prize way back when.

  4. LOL...I didn't realize that Sandie. I hope you did something for yourself with the coral ribbon type yarn. I ended up giving away my scarf with that, and need to make another, cause I loved the color so much

  5. I really like the design on the white one. It looks like crochet. One of these days I'll have to learn how.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
