Scarves from Sandie's Hook

LOVE this yarn. Sandie's used this colorway before and it's really cool how no two things come out the same with the way the color fades in and out. Pretty earthy browns and tans, with shades of blue. Both super soft, nice and heavy and large enough for the men under the bridge.

As always Sandie's work is beautiful and I truly appreciate her on going support of this charity. Though you know if you ventured to her page, this is by no means the only charity she supports. She's always busy with hook and yarn. Sometimes I wonder if she crochet's in her sleep. lol Seriously, she's made so many things through the years and her support never wavers.

Hugs a bunch Sandie

  1. Glad you got them okay, Sandy. I never feel I do enough, but we all do what we can.

  4. I love the colors in those scarves. And what a super wonderful thing you people are doing for the homeless people. That is just terrific.

Thanks for visiting our blog. We have the miniature donkeys just because they needed a home and I needed some animals here. Originally I had horses and ponies here but eventually had to send them to the bridge to heaven. So rather than have an empty nest, I rescued these two donkeys because they have some things wrong with them.

The goat is another story. I did a friend a favor and now I am down to one goat who thinks she is a donkey.

I would love to donate to the homeless people but I have 18 cats here that I have rescued and they take all my money.
    Have a wonderful Sunday.

  5. This Moda Dea Tweedle Dee yarn made some beautiful scarves. As Sandy notes, each one was different. This color is Surf n Turf. Not sure if they still make it.

  6. I think Sandie, as we're going back looking through some of these older pictures and posts, this might be one of my favorites. I really loved the way these scarves came out using that yarn.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
