Christmas

During these past couple of difficult years life has not been normal, for anyone.  I think we all know someone who's had Covid, probably even someone who's died of it.  We've probably got family members who've been in quarantine a number of times due to exposure at work or school.

Some have gotten together for Holidays, some haven't.  Some who might be getting together this year, perhaps didn't last year.  I know we didn't do a family Thanksgiving or Christmas last year or this year.  Too many of us to get together indoors.  The larger the group, the bigger the risks are to all.

Even with that said, we are still far better off than many.  We have a roof over our heads, we've gotten our shots, we made alterations in our life style; but we are truly blessed.  Please keep in mind all those less fortunate this Christmas.

This will be the last Christmas we all celebrate together here on Bridge and Beyond, but all 13 of them have been filled with special memories created by all of you who've given of your time, shared your skills, but mostly importantly given of your hearts.

Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you!

Warming Ohio's Homess

The awesome cowl (top right) was knitted by my Darling Daughter.  I LOVE the colors and the yarn is so nice and soft and warm.  I knitted the purple scarf with a mix of garter and stockinette stitches in sorta block formation.  The socks are a mix of slipper socks (still in the white package bank) with non skid bottoms (4 pairs), and 3 pairs short ankle socks.

Over the last couple of weeks I've blogged about various charities you might like to support; as Bridge and Beyond will cease operations this Dec 31.  Please mail your final donations by Dec 24th.

Some of the charities aid the homeless, some pregnant women, some kids transitioning out of foster care, and native Americans on Pine Ridge Reservation.  Locations vary, so you might find one of the charities listed is in your area, or close to you like a border state; making postage perhaps less costly.

Below is the listing with a very brief description, but PLEASE click on the links to see details about what they accept, what fiber to use, who benefits from the charity and where to mail items.

Afghans for Pine Ridge (Ravelry Group completed Afghans with options for 6-8- and 12 inch squares)

Red Scarf Project (benefits kids transitioning out of foster care

Warm Up American (Benefits homeless and others in need, rectangles, hats and scarves, or make your own full afghan).

StreetKnit (Benefits homeless in Oklahoma, accepts afghans, lapghans, hats, scarves, gloves, mittens, socks (not store bought); as well as yarn and knitting needles.

Homeless Families Foundation and Faith Mission (benefits homeless for those that are local and can deliver donations in Columbus, Ohio.

Salvation Knitters (Ravelry Group)(benefits two charities in Lansing Michigan, that focus on pregnant mothers and their babies, getting them off the streets.)

Welcome Blankets, Lapghans for Refugees (knitted, crocheted, sewn and or quilted)

Announcement, History, and Socks to Warm Cold Feet

In recent days I made the announcement that Bridge and Beyond will cease to exist come December 31st of this year, 2021.  There are many factors involved with this decision that I've blogged about in the past week.  One primary reason is difficulty with mail service that has substantially changed; making it very difficult to ensure your donations are protected when I travel.

I've been posting totals of the amazing work so many of you have participated in over the last 13 years, as Bridge and Beyond's first blog post was Dec 2, 2008; and our first donation was received on Dec. 9, 2008 from our friend Bunny.

On December 5, 2008 Sunny Fairy designed our blog logo.
Both Sunny Fairy and Bunny were early supporters of Bridge and Beyond.  While they are not currently active with us, I do so appreciate their help in the early formation of Bridge and Beyond.

My SIL, Jan (married to my older brother, Chuck), introduced me to Rae when I first expressed a desire to set up a charity to help the homeless here in central Ohio.  Rae was and continues to be a church friend of Jan and Chuck's.  She prepares hot meals on Sat. mornings to feel those living out in the elements.  It is her group that we first supported by supplying her with warm hats and scarves in the first month of Bridge and Beyond, December of 2008.

We continued to attract more pairs of helping hands and accepted other donated items such as socks, slippers, cotton washcloths, afghans, and mittens; as well as personal care items throughout  the years.  We were able to supply not only Rae's group, but several homeless shelters here in Columbus, as well as several schools in a depressed area in need.

As I dug out wool socks this morning to warm my feet, I thought I'd share how many pairs of socks we've donated through the years.

SOCKS:

2009    70

2010   101

2011   333

2012    281

2013   281

2014   199

2015   201

2016   135

2017    29

2018    68

2019   113

2020   107

2021   193....as of Nov 1st

Total 1,830 pairs of socks to warm 1,830 pairs of feet.

Please continue to check in to see more stats and stories about the work that's been done here on Bridge and Beyond over the 13 years it's been able to help the Homeless here in central Ohio.

Where Do Donations Come From? Mittens Totals

This is a colorful map (more so than the one at the very bottom of the blog, and this map gives the states name.  Over the 13 years Bridge and Beyond has been busy knitting and crocheting for charity, we've had participation from 41 states, 82% of the country.  AND donations from around the globe from England, France, Germany, and Puerto Rico.  That's pretty impressive I think, how about you?

The ONLY states where at least one person hasn't donated are:
Alabama
Alaska
Arkansas
Connecticut
Mississippi
Montana
Nevada
Rhodes Island
Wyoming
**Unless I've missed documenting someone along the line.

I remember the donation from England was from a man I had gotten to know in my early blogging years, he sent money and asked me to buy socks with it.  The one from Germany was a military wife stationed in Germany.  France...I think from memory was a lady who had a gift shop and sent things from the end of the year from her shop that didn't sell.  Puerto Rico was actually more than one donation, DaMaris.

Just thought I'd share some our stories, our history if you will.

Mittens aren't the easiest item to make, so thought you might like to see how we faired with those over the years.
2009 our first full year 66
2010                              151
2011                              258
2012                              300
2013                              300
2014                              130
2015                              123
2016                              108
2017                              120
2018                                75
2019                                66
2020                                81
2021                                72....so far, as of Oct 31st

1, 850 pairs of warm hands!  Our best years were 2012 and 2013 with 300 pairs each years, and our lowest year was 2019 with 66.

Remember to keep checking in, as I will continue to post donations and update totals as we make our way to Dec 31st, when we will close down Bridge and Beyond.  If you've missed the announcement, please click HERE.

Personal Care and Post Office Troubles, And ...

A small collection of personal care items collected on a recent short out of town with hubby.  It was on this trip to Hilton Head, SC a week or so back that I discovered all the problems now associated with doing a mail hold.  It's never been an issue before; but ..........our post office has closed which presented a whole host of problems that never existed before.

  1. When your post office closes you can not qualify for a mail hold set up on line, even when signed  into your account.
  2. You can not qualify for automated telephone mail hold
  3. When you get a live human being, they can not do a mail hold for you
  4. You must go in person, stand in line, and fill out a mail hold card (which they may or may not loose)
  5. Once back in town you return to the post office nearest you, the one where you filled out the mail hold document and are told you can not pick up your mail there, you must go to the main office.
  6. The following day arriving at the main post office after difficulty with finding a parking spot and it takes 3 people to find your mail.  But, hey I lucked out the lady in front of me had been back 3 times and no one could find her mail, nor her mail hold card.
Yes this is one of the reasons I've decided it's time to put an end date to this grassroots charity, Bridge and Beyond.  So, after 13 years Bridge and Beyond's last date will be Dec 31st of this year, 2021.

Hubby and I travel a good bit, and will be increasing time away as he nears retirement.  With mail issues (significant mail delays), and reduced time you can do a mail hold, and above stated problems........it seems the writing was on the wall.  Thus, I have made this decision after considerable thought.

Dec 2, 2008 I wrote my first blog post here on Bridge and Beyond where I asked a group of blog friends if they wanted to help.  It started out quite small.  We were going to help a group of folks living in the elements that a friend, Rae prepared hot meals for on Sat mornings.  Mostly men at the time, a few woman and no children.

In one weeks time, I started receiving emails asking for my address on Dec 8th, and on Dec 9, 2008 I received my first donation from Bunny.  Bunny was an avid supporter of Bridge and Beyond in the early years.  Some of you may remember her.  She moved onto supporting other charities from my memory; but it's a nice memory to remember she was the first donator to this charity, Bridge and Beyond.

I'll will continue to accept donations, and blog about them as the year continues.  AND, I will continue to share some history and memories of how we came to be and how we grew.  Please stay tuned.

Lots of Heart at Bridge and Beyond

One day on a recent walk through the neighborhood I spotted this lovely heart made of many colorful stones in someone's' flower bed.  Naturally I stopped and took a picture.  I thought I would share it with you all because there's been lots of heart here at Bridge and Beyond through the years.

I'll be sharing alot of stats in the coming months about where and how we started, back on Dec 2, 2008 and how we got where we are today in 2021.  A loving memory, a reflection as it were.  The reason?

I've made the decision after lots of thought, that Dec 31st, 2021 will be the last day for this grassroots charity, Bridge and Beyond.  There are many factors that played into my making this decision; but one is substantial changes in mail services.  My post office has closed down which has caused problems for me regarding holding mail when we travel.  We are away from home more each year and I see that increasing as my husband moves into retirement.

Please know that each and everyone of you who visits the blog, who's donated through the years has made it possible for Bridge and Beyond to help Homeless for 13 years...indeed lots of heart.

Please continue to visit, as there are donations to see and stories and stats about Bridge and Beyond to see and read about between now and Dec 31st.

Boxes of Donations for Bridge and Beyond to Help the Homeless

Boxes......In my previous post you see the picture of all the personal care items and coffee pouches I collected on my recent trip.......well, here are the boxes the post office and my neighbor collected for me while away of your thoughtful and generous donations.

For security reasons I don't post that I will be away, but rest assured your goodies that arrive when I am away are very well cared for.

Those of you who've been visiting and donating to Bridge and Beyond for awhile may remember this from many years ago.

This pyramid was built for me by a previous neighbor who's young son loved to keep an eye on the house and report with glee that another box for me had arrived.  Back in those days, I didn't even stop the mail.  He was quite young, and is now in high school, or the end of middle school (can't quite remember).  He and his Dad made a thing of the donations.  It was always fun to come home and see what arrangement they had made.  It was entertaining for him to march to my house (right next door) daily and count the boxes, and arrange them.  Sometimes they would send me a picture.  Fun memories.  Just thought I'd re-share

At any rate the first picture has all been opened, counted, and photographed.  So please stay tuned for donations from: Janis F, Anna W, Laura E, Sandie P, Gabriella, and Sarah S.

Personal Care Items to Aid Those in Need

Spent some time out of town recently and collected some personal care items and coffee.  We stayed in a condo so we could cook our own meals and stay socially distant.  Hubby's been working from home since last March due to the Covid, so we figured he could do the same out of town.  I knitted, walked, and did yoga...the same thing I do at home; except I was able to add riding a bike part of the time, as it was warmer there then here in Central Ohio.  Hubby was able to play golf there as well.  We buy our own groceries, which is how I end up with the coffee.  I always pass on the coffee pouches to Rae, our friend who prepares the hot meals for those living in the elements.

The personal care items are soap, shampoo, hair conditioner, and lotion.  I don't usually end up with that much from our winter trip, but we were gone a bit longer than normal.  So, the stash is larger than normal.

Was good to get away awhile, at least a change of scenery even if it was like being home and staying away from people.  Hubby and I both got our first vaccination yesterday which was a relief.  Hope you all are getting yours, if you haven't yet.  I know the protocol is anything but consistent around the country, so don't know if you all are ahead or behind me in the que to get inoculated.

Bitter cold here today, was 4 this am when I got up.  We've had more snow this winter than we've had in the last few years.  Don't know about you all, but I am counting down the days until Spring....31.  As cold and tired of the cold as I am, I can't imagine how our homeless friends are faring.  Thank goodness many have been housed due to the Covid.

Something to remind us of Spring and warmer temps!  Keep your hooks and needles busy folks, the need continues.

Brown Afghan in the Works, Needs a Name!

Sometime back (quite awhile back), I showed a wee start of this afghan and called it coffee latte, which is incorrect.  We already have a completed afghan with that name.  Soooooo, I’m thinking Hot Chocolate, Hot Mocca, Coffee Break, Brown Marble????  It’s not solid brown, but I don’t know if you can see that well in the picture.  Click to enlarge and see what you think.  There is some marbling in the yarn....I’m leaning towards naming it Coffee Break or Brown Marble?  But, am open for suggestions.

The start and end section (that I’m currently working on) is alternating blocks of garter and purl sections, with straight garter in the much larger middle section.  I’m hoping to get this one finished fairly soon, though it’s not going quickly.

Hope you’re all staying warm with this nasty winter, and staying safe from the Covid.  AND, I hope many of you have been able to get your vaccine.  No luck yet at my end; but hopefully soon.  The supply just isn’t enough to get us all taken care of.

Bright Colored Strips Make a Fun and Warm Afghan

LOVE how this bright colored collection of strips, our good friend Sandie P crocheted donated some time ago, turned out.  There are 7 strips all doubled edged in black except the center strip.  I felt I needed a bit more width so added additional rows of black on the sides of the middle strip.  Got it spread out here to show you, but need to collect it and toss in the laundry and then be able to lay it out to dry and block.

Sandie, I’ve forgotten what stitch you used for these, do you remember?  Is it the afghan stitch?  These bright colors will cheer someone up, and keep them warm, be they male or female.  AND it’s large enough for a nice family afghan.  Had fun laying this out to determine how and where I wanted the colors to appear.

Many thanks Sandie P, and keep up the good work.

Brickyard Afghan is Completed, Being Blocked.

Here's Brickyard fresh out of the wash machine after being laundered.  As you can see the squares/rectangles really vary in size; but it did come together.  It's here now being blocked, drying and then will be ready to donate to Homeless Families Project.  (scroll back to see it's before look), or click HERE

Haven't selected the next project yet.  Need to look at all my project bags and see what calls out to me.

Hope you're all stay healthy and continuing to stay at home.  I hope with this weekend being Easter, families didn't elect to gather together.  I fear if they do, we'll have a resurgence of more cases in the next 5-14 days.

I just watched 2 video's this am, looking for new possible patterns.  One was knitted and one crocheted.....don't know if I'll do something with that, or nab an already designed project bag.  Very in-divisive  at the moment.

What are you all working on?  Do you find you're doing more knitting and or crocheting during our Covid Period?  Are you knitting or crocheting for Bridge and Beyond, or another worthy charity?

Rolling Hills Afghan Ready to be Donated

Rolling Hills is now completed.  It's been laundered and is being blocked and drying, as we speak.  The colors aren't quite right as it's showing up here, my light must have been a bit wacky.
There's the more true colors before stripes were evened out, edge and joined.  Added several inches on each side as well to make it a better width.

Brickyard will be the next project.  Stay tuned.

Hope you're all keeping busy during our various shut downs, stay at home orders etc.  Please stay safe and well.

Rolling Hills is in The Works

Rolling Hills is the name I chose for this group of strips.  Brown and green, earthy; but if someone has a suggestion I'm happy to rename it.  These strips are again from that donation intended to be scarves, that just weren't sized to fit the need.

I've laid this out to see how much is needed to make them all the same size so they can be joined to make another afghan.  These are quite narrow and will need additional crocheting to make the width appropriate; but I do love the color combination.  I have both tan and green to use in adding, edging and joining.  I will have some more need to do some over-stitching due to the yarn being cut immediately after knots; but it seems less of a problem than it was in the previous afghan, Pippy Longstocking.

As I type this post, I can actually see sunshine outside my window!  That's pretty exciting because we surely haven't seen much of it.  AND I can begin to see some hopeful signs of spring with some green poking through the dirt in some of my flower beds.  Come on Spring.

How's the weather in your neck of the wood, and what are you all working on with your hooks and needles?

Pippy Longstocking Ready to Warm up a Family

Pippy Longstocking is completed.  She's laying here being blocked and drying after her bath, lol.  Makes me think of her skating around the kitchen with her soapy scrub brushes on her feet.  It ended up a better size once blocked 74 x 43 then I first thought it would be.  Still a little more narrow then I sometimes make them; but working with what I have dictates size often.  I did have some problems with the knots and no tails so did a lot of over stitching and working with troubled spots, but...believe since it weathered the laundry, my over stitching worked to shore things up.  Nothing came undone, YIPPEE!  But with that in mind, let me take a minute to remind everyone not to tie a knot and cut, please...please always leave and work in tails with anything you make...knit or crochet.

This is called a potato chip scarf.  I love the color and drape of the yarn.  Actually made it for myself, but didn't like the way it looked on me and think it's better suited for a teen, so am adding it to my donation for Bridge and Beyond.

Bad selfie, but than all of my attempts always are, lol.

Knitted neck gator that stretches enough it can be pulled up like a hood .  Made this some time back and it got tucked into one of my project bags.  I found it the other day as I was re-organizing a bit.

Lots of personal care items collected on a recent trip to Hilton Head.  Shampoo, soap, hair conditioner, and lotion.  The packets at the top are coffee, which I give directly to Rae so she can prepare coffee when she delivers hot meals on Sat mornings.

It's 24 here this morning, so another cold day.  We had rain the last several days and it mixed with snow yesterday afternoon.  So, still very much winter here.  Keep your crochet hooks and knitting needles busy folks.

Pippy Longstocking, The Afghan

This afghan was designed some time back and has been waiting in que (there are still many).  As you can see in this picture I was making piles of yarn by color.  When I do an all day sort/organize/design it truly takes all day.  I lug up all the bags from the basement, separate and go at it.

If you've been a frequent visitor to my blog, Bridge and Beyond, you know I name all the afghans I knit/crochet/or assemble from pieces parts.  I named this one Pippy Longstocking.  I was sorta at the end of the designing day and had things that really didn't look like they went together, and came up with the name, because it's funky, weird, wild and miss-matched, just like she was.

In the above picture you'll note I was trying to determine what color to use to edge and join.  I choose based on how much of something I have, as well as what it looks like to me.... in my mind...trying to see it completed.

I selected the green and have almost gotten each piece edged.  The pieces aren't the same size, which I knew going into it, they often aren't...I did say pieces parts.  The strips on the top are smaller than those on the bottom, so will need extra edging, but often I can't tell how much until I edge the rest for comparison.  They tend to stretch a bit as I edge and layout more smoothly.  Looking at it now, I think edging the two rust colored strips will make the ghan too long as I originally designed, so am thinking about enough edging on them to fit them to the sides...almost like they appear in the picture.  Obviously they aren't long enough to fit the whole side so there would be much more green.  Or perhaps I will add more to the sides of what's there and not use the 2 strips?  Love any input.  I will stare at it awhile as I continue to join the pieces and perhaps that will help me make a decision.

These strips were intended to be scarves, but they really are too far off the size we need, so I've designed a good number of afghans with them.

Hope you're all busy working on something.

Coffee Latte Afghan Done and Donated

Drum Roll........I finally got Coffee Latte finished!  I first posted about starting Coffee Latte back on Feb 1th of 2019.  I also had started Blue Ocean.  It's typical for me to have lots of projects going at one time and bounce around between them.  I have big and little projects going, so I can tote the smaller ones with me.  I also vary what I'm working on between knitting and crocheting, as crocheting bothers the arthritis a bit more....plus in warmer months I don't like to have a big ghan on my lap.

Anyway, those are my excuses for this taking so long.  I had it tucked away, and frankly sorta forgot about it; but am happy to now say.........yippee it's done.  It's a bit larger than some I make, which also made it take longer.  It's laying out here drying after being laundered.  I did a little bit of blocking, but not much was needed.  Just needed to smooth it out and of course let the yarn rest.

It's always nice to get things laundered, as they look so much more finished, they soften up, and smooth out.

So Coffee Latte is our first afghan for the year 2020.

Personal Care Items and Donation Goals for Bridge and Beyond

Personal Items I collected on my last out of town venture.  Hubby and Darling Daughter and I spend some time out in Park City, Utah.  It's a ski town about 45 minutes from Salt Lake.  We've enjoyed going there in July for about 10 years now.  The weather is fabulous, 80-90 degrees during the day and next to no humidity and cools off at night 50-60's.  You're in the mountains after all.  YEARS ago, when we young and hurt less to fall AND we were less fearful of broken bones, we did go in the winter and actually ski.  But, those days are long gone.

So, I collected up the shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion left in our rooms to add to our donations.  If you travel for pleasure or business it's such an easy thing to do and is always so well appreciated by those who receive our donations.  So, next time you travel; please consider doing this.

Have you noticed our graphs growing?  Our donation goal graphs?  Please look directly above this post and to the right side side.  We have goal graphs to monitor how we're doing against our goals.  Our goals represent last years totals.  I'm please to say we're at over 50% of our goals for two of our donation categories.

Cotton Cloths, our graph shows us to be at .5904% of our goal of 347!  AND, our sock graph shows us at over 50% also at .5197% of our goal of 152 pairs of socks.  Always get pretty excited when we hit the half way mark, so please keep up the good work folks, and please keep an eye on the graphs and watch those numbers grow with your thoughtful donations.

Crocheted Poncho

Have you noticed the count down to Spring in the right sidebar of this blog?  I keep forgetting to point that out to you all.  I added it a while back to spruce up the blog a bit.......and because I hate winter.  I hate being cold, I hate the gray ugly that is so prevalent here in Central Ohio.  I hate the ice, the snow, the freezing rain.  AND ...I'm inside my nice warm house.  Our homeless friends that we knit and crochet for here on Bridge and Beyond, aren't that lucky.

Some of our homeless friends truly live out in the elements, some get nights here and there in shelters, some are lucky enough with help through the shelters to find permanent housing.  We strive to help as many as we can here on Bridge and Beyond, knowing we can't help all.

This poncho was included in our last delivery of the year, even though we don't count poncho's and other misc items.  I found it when purging ...guess I should have looked in the bottom of my decken's bench sooner.  I must have tucked it in there once when I was straighten things up.

Final numbers for year will be in the next post.  Please check in.

Cardiac Collage and Earth and Sky Help our Donation Goals

You might remember seeing this afghan while it was in the works, Cardiac Collage.  The color is a bit funky here, you know how bad light can be a problem when taking photo's.  We have so much gray drabness here in Ohio, it's often a problem if I don't get the photo done during the day, or there's no sunshine.  Cardiac Collage, so named because I started it while sitting in the ER when my Dear Hubby was having a Cardiac Event.  I purposely made each square different, with different amounts of colors, and some squares don't have representations of each color.  From a design perspective.........I wanted it to be without pattern, much as a cardiac event is.........additionally, I didn't have the same amount of each color and was trying to use up some stash.  This photo was taken prior to it being laundered and blocked so when that was accomplished (yesterday) it measured about 54 inches square.  The squares are knit, sorta like a log cabin pattern with picking up stitches each time you changed colors.  I enjoy doing that, but am not a fan of how many ends there are to work in.  Soooooooo, after getting all the squares done,
I switched to working on a simple striped afghan.  These colors are very soothing, very peaceful, and there is indeed a pattern to this design.  I named this one Earth and Sky for the green grass, brown earth, and blue skies.    This photo was also taken  before it was laundered and blocked (it's drying as we speak and now measures about 60 x 65).

One Earth and Sky was done and waiting to be laundered (had to wait til after Christmas so I had floor space to block it), I returned to the squares for Cardiac Collage and edged them all by crocheting in the darker blue, then crocheted them together, and finally crocheted a couple of rows all around as the border.

We're close to our goal for afghans, and I'm not yet closing the books on 2018.

Personal Care and Afghans, Cardiac Collage and Jeweled Lines

Jeweled Lines is done...except I need to finish tucking in the ends, launder and block.  I've been way laid doing that...

Some person care items I collected during out recent trip to Park City, Utah.  I always collect jazz when we travel.

This is the afghan I'm currently working on.  The bottom block has the blue from the recent donation of yarn from Gail B (scroll back to previous post if you missed it).  This ghan will have lots of different colors, will not have a pattern to it, won't have equal amounts of color in each block, or even the same colors in each block.  This afghan is called Cardiac Collage.  I've been blogging about it on my person blog, Sandy's Space.  It's titled Cardiac Collage as I grabbed 2 skeins of yarn or parts there off when hubby and I were off to the ER recently.  He had a cardiac event.  I spent time there in the ER and subsequent day in his hospital room just knitting, with really no great plan in place.  The blog upper right with dark purple as a big part of the block, and 2 stripes of orange was the start and is the yarn I had with me at the time.  Cardiac events are
helter skelter...so, the afghan will be too.

One block currently doesn't any yellow in it, one doesn't have any turqoise, 3 don't have orange but have peach, 3 with orange have o peach, 2 don't have lavendar, and currently only one has tan and blue.  Plan to add blue and tan to a couple , but don't want it to always been close to the edge...so will start 3 more blocks where I put those perhaps more in the middle...and red only in 3 ..will add some red in the new blocks too.  Using up odds and ends in part

Was nice to have something portable to tote during the hospital stay.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
