Suzann from Tennessee, SSeger on Rav knitted and donated 4 scarves and 4 cotton washcloths. The scarves are varying sizes and a couple are knitted I believe with double yarn which will make them especially warm. The cotton washcloths are the standard corner to corner design. I've often wondered how many items we've all made together in that popular corner to corner method...be it knit or crochet, washcloth, or dishcloth, or ghan, or baby blanket. Always such a winner!Many thanks for your thoughtful donation, it's greatly appreciated. Please keep up the good work.

ReplyDeleteSandy I want to thank you for what you are doing with your charity. You are helping so many people who are so desperately in need. Going through such a hard time lately myself, I can really just imagine how special these people feel when they receive your wonderful donations. I'm sure it makes their day. It's not the warmth that helps them the most, in my opinion. It's knowing that there are people out there who recognize their struggle and who want to help. The only thing worse than being cold is being cold and thinking no one really cares or no one even knows it's happening to you. I think it's very easy for people living on poverty (or on the streets) to feel very isolated and alone.

ReplyDeleteGood afternoon. Yes, I did take 2 different colors to knit 2 of the scarves. It helps to make them nice & warm. Plus, it adds extra color instead of being just a solid color. Glad they will be used to keep someone warm this winter!
