Cupcakes for Knitters and Crocheters and Yarn Lovers

Too cute not to share.  Spotted this one day on Facebook and had to save it to share with you all.  Doesn't this make you smile!  Creative people make the world a better place I think.  Anyone out there a baker....wanna give this try?

Weather has been all over the place here in Central Ohio.  We've had a few days warmer than normal, followed by lots and lots of rainy days, cold wet gray days, followed by cooler than normal weather. Sitting in the house with a fleece on, sipping hot coffee as I type this scheduled post.  It's only in the low 40's outside so still plenty cold for those in need.

What's everyone working on?  I'm getting close to being done with The Blue Horizon Afghan.

  1. Used to bake more when my boys were small. Dont do it at all anymore I will have to admit. Waistline does not need it. Am still the dessert person for holidays. Family celebration. Have fooled my family into thinking I am good at it:+)Cute cupcakes, too pretty to eat.
We are finally coming out of the cold and rain again. Next week to be Warmer and Dry. That in itself is a treat. Rain on Sunday but still warm.. Dont need to cover tender plants anymore at night. I am sure that is good news for our friends who have been shivering in the spring rains. Warm morinngs on the deck watching my dogs and the birds I feed everyday.GOD BLESS THE HOMELESS.marj in minnesota

    1. Glad you have warmer and dryer weather coming your way. We're still cool and damp, have had the windows all closed for several days, and hubby turned the heat back on this morning. Crazy weather, hope the homeless are fairing ok.

  2. Those cakes are adorable. I’m not much of a baker, but can’t turn down a scrumptious cupcake.
I still haven’t’ picked my knitting back up, since the A-Z challenge, I mean. My hands, heart and soul do miss my needles and yarn.
Sandy, I wanted to thank you for your comment on my blog today. That is regarding the helpful hint you gave me regarding the title of my story (The Red Sweater). I sincerely appreciate that and would have never thought of it.
    Thanks again!

  3. Those are the cutest cupcakes!! I need to get myself out and about to get some yarn and start knitting, so currently not working on anything (except work, LOL). Our weather goes up and down too, but its our first year here so I really don't know what to expect. We still run the heat some first thing in the morning some days to take off the chill.

  4. Oh these are cute cupcakes and how they got the little pieces done so it looks crocheted. That is so cool. We are having the same weather as you. It was hot on the weekend and now it is below seasonal. I had the air on on the weekend and now we put the heat on to warm up the house a bit. Crazy!

  6. Love the cupcakes! That would be so cute for a knitting/crochet group to have as a nice snack. Weather has been crazy here in MI also. In the 80's last weekend and then the lows of 30"s the last few nights. At least we got in the 60's today.

    1. Yes it would make a wonderful and appropriate desert for a knitting/crochet group. I thought they were really cute. I'm wearing a fleece, all the windows are closed and the heats on and my feet are still cold. Argh

    1. I wondered the same thing Claire. I can't even use icing to write a decent Happy Birthday on the top of a large cake, so to be able to be this artistic on the top of a little cupcake.......wow

  8. I like to bake, but I am not that talented! Those are so lovely looking, I wouldn't want to eat them!
