Blue Horizon Afghan Growing

The last time I shared Blue Horizon with you it was 26 inches, it's grown to 36 inches.  The wider brown strip is the middle, so you can see I'm close to being done with wider blue stripe which will then take me to the narrow light blue you see on the left.....so am getting there.  I forgot to measure how much is left, but eye-balling it, I'd say maybe 10 inches?

I like to have several projects going at one time, particularly when they're larger projects so I can switch around every few days.  How about you?

What's everyone working on?  Do you knit or crochet different projects as the weather warms up?

  1. This is a beauty Sandy.Yes I do remember seeing it in the early stages. I liked the color comibination at that time and now that it is getting near the end like it even more. Very nice indeed.Blue Horizon is a good name, Another old song Beyond the Blue Horizon comes to mind.I guess I am on an old song kick.
Keep up the good work. I like to have a couple of things going at the same time, but usually wind up finshing one before I really get going on the other. Like to work with Sugar and Cream in the warmer months. Thus washclothes, baby bibs.small items.
Rainy day here for the most part. Gray skies .They are talking about more storms. Again we lucked out here in the city and saw rain and no storms.
GOD BLESS THE HOMELESS marj in minnesota

  2. I hear ya with the rain Marj, we're in for what looks like another solid day of rain and gray. Mallard Ducks keep landing in the front yard across the street from us, it's so wet it's confusing them, I guess. I find working with Sugar and Cream cotton hard on my hands, so don't work with cotton much. Someone suggested I bump up my needle size to see if I'm just knitting too tightly with it and that's the cause of the hand discomfort, might give that a try as I have a pattern I've been wanting to try.

  5. That afghan is looking very nice! I have a dishcloth that I work on when I am on the computer. I am also working on a lapgham for Hospice. Then at work, I have a scarf on my needles.

  6. Really like how the afghan's turning out. I just started crocheting last year and I'm not that great at it yet. I tend to do two projects at a time - one crocheting and the other one would be on a knifty knitter (the cheating/easier way of knitting). I crochet bigger projects and usually do scarfs and hats on the knitter.

    1. Thank you Julie, I like how the colors work together, they really make me think of the sky, water, and ground, with a wee bit of pinky popping in at either sun up or sun down.
