This thoughtful crocheted donation comes from our good friend and loyal supporter RoseMarie from Tennessee. No doubt many of you knew that immediately when you saw her signature decorations on the slippers. RoseMarie has donated slippers, cotton washcloths, personal care items and slipper socks (the tube shaped item). As I type this she's busy designing a pattern I'll soon be adding to the mittens tab, please keep checking in.
Mittens are always an item we don't get enough off, and they're an item not the easiest for many of us to make, knit or crochet. She's been working on converting writs warmers/fingerless gloves from double crochet to single crochet to add warmth. My thought was that for those living in the shelters these would be a welcome item and perhaps help stretch the mittens. Naturally they'll not be as warm as a full pair of gloves or mitts, but an item I thought more of us would be inclined/able to make.
Stay tuned, and as always RoseMarie, please keep up the good work.
