Hats, scarves, and slippers in this picture. Awesome colors. This marvelous donation is from our friend Diana K. She and her hook must be battery charged. She used the chevron (ripple) pattern to create these interesting scarves. I love how the texture and shape show up so well with all nice solid colors.
And........yet there's more. More hats and scarves crocheted and donated by Dear Diana. Please keep up the good work Diana, we so appreciate all your efforts and generosity.
Folks, if you missed the previous post, please scroll back. A knitted hat pattern was linked, and it was added to the hat tab. Please check it out.
Scrolling back to this date last year, Sept 21st, 2013 I note we had donated 97 pairs of mittens/gloves which is 33 more then we've to date this year. If you're one who can knit or crochet mittens, please do. Cold hands are miserable. Stay tuned folks, our good friend, RoseMarie is currently working on a pattern variation for fingerless gloves (crocheted) that I'll be posting to the mittens page. While not full mittens, they would still be welcomed by those living in the shelters.

All donations regardless of size and number are valued. All donations are appreciated. The Power of One is awesome, and when we work together The Power of One becomes The Power of Many.
THANKS DIANA, YOU ARE A BUSY WOMAN AND MUCH APPRECIATED. This is truly a lovely donation and of course this is ONLY half. The first half was as nice and will definitely make a wonderful gift to the people who are struggling to stay warm in the upcoming winter. The first day of fall is already tomorrow evening and we all know what that means. We are having a week of above average temps here in Minnesota next week but it will be over soon and we will be buckling down again for winter. God Bless you for doing what you can to support the Ohio Homeless.
ReplyDeleteWonderful donation Diana! Love the hat & scarf sets. I do like that pattern you used on the scarves.
