Designing Afghans from Donated Squares
I'm pretty sure I have an afghan named crayons or box of crayons designed and waiting in the wings, but that's what I thought of while designing this particular afghan. How boring is it to name this Crayon 2? This is a mix of sizes and shapes and styles of squares, rectangles, sampler, granny's. I know I have some of the variegated yarn in my stash, but doubt there's enough to edge and join, might have to get more, as I think....I would like to use it for this ghan? Thoughts? Will that be too busy?
As I'm typing this post, color me popped into my head. How's that for a name?

Definitely a good choice for a little boy. Varigated yarn would be cute I think. Keep it color charged all the way. Color Block, Color Me, Color Box, Color My World. Lots of good names for this one. I really lke it. Lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the ideas and the visit Marj, appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteVery colorful and definitely crayon colors.
ReplyDeleteBox of Crayons is a great name Sandy. I love the color combo.
ReplyDeleteLove this one Sandy! Definately see the box of crayons going on. Or maybe a coloring book? Whatever it will be GREAT when finished. You have been one busy designing lady! What number are you up to at this point?
ReplyDeleteLovely! I adore these colours and anything really colourful, actually. "Collected Colours" for a name? Just what popped into my head :)
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I was scrolling down the page and saw the afghan I thought HOT. It is another aghan for someone to stay warm under this winter. Great job Sandy.
ReplyDeleteCrayon 2 may sound so "typical", but it is soo appropriate. I love this afghan. It just makes you want to get out your old box of 64 crayons. And yes, I still have the last one I bought when my youngest was in elementary school.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for the visits and great ideas for names, appreciate it. I love to color so chuckled when I read Gail still has her box of crayons. I've got a box 24 right in my desk drawer!
ReplyDeleteSandy you are doing such a great job putting together all the squares and making them look so nice together.
