Bright Desert Afghan Design
The desert is both bright a muted, depending on the light and the time of the day. You have blue for the sky, oranges, purples and tans for the rocks. Because this is bright, ...Bright Desert? But open to suggestions, so if you have them sing out, please and thanks. These squares vary a bit in size, not badly, the oranges and tans are the same, and blues and purples a 2nd size. Probably will edged and join in tan...or maybe a real light lavender?
Do you recognize any of your squares in this design? Have you scrolled back over the last week and half to see if you can find your squares? I've been designing, naming and lining things up for assembly. I really need to see how many I have before how long it will be to accept more squares.

Interesting color choices. What colors will you use to finish it off? I guess that would be what would make it for me. Like the whole idea. Saw the Painted Desert as a child and loved it. Fun Times.
ReplyDeletePainted Desert...must look back and see if I've already named one that somewhere along the way, if not..that would be a nice name. Thanks for the visit and the idea Marjorie.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and can't wait to see this put together even though I don't have a clue for the name. Painted Desert reminds me of the Red Heart yarn of the very same name. Maybe Desert Skys as in when it storms???
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherry for the visit, that's another good suggestion for the ghan, there is the bright blue...hum....Keep em coming folks.
ReplyDeleteI also love the colors in this one Sandy. My suggestion is Desert Sunrise. I like the idea of edging and joining in tan. But then I am thinking of a small second border in lavender...... maybe! However you decide I think some family will LOVE it! Can't wait to see it finished!
ReplyDeleteSally I can picture that, they're such unusual colors together, but the bit of variegated is what I was trying to work with. Love all the possibilities here folks. You're all awesome.
ReplyDeleteVery bright & cheerful!
ReplyDeleteGreat way to bring out the colors in the variegated yarn. This will make a very bright and cheerful ghan.
