Bright Colored Strips Make a Fun and Warm Afghan

LOVE how this bright colored collection of strips, our good friend Sandie P crocheted donated some time ago, turned out.  There are 7 strips all doubled edged in black except the center strip.  I felt I needed a bit more width so added additional rows of black on the sides of the middle strip.  Got it spread out here to show you, but need to collect it and toss in the laundry and then be able to lay it out to dry and block.

Sandie, I’ve forgotten what stitch you used for these, do you remember?  Is it the afghan stitch?  These bright colors will cheer someone up, and keep them warm, be they male or female.  AND it’s large enough for a nice family afghan.  Had fun laying this out to determine how and where I wanted the colors to appear.

Many thanks Sandie P, and keep up the good work.

  1. Beautiful job on the assembly of these strips. It was back in March 2019 according to my records but I do remember clearly. It was the moss stitch (seed, linen or whatever it's called). sc, ch 1, sk 1. I have so many leftover balls. I should do another bunch of strips. :-)
