Scarves Essential in Keeping Homeless Warm

Thank you Karen S for this wonderful donation of two sided scarves.  Love the texture and the contrast between the two sides of the scarves.  If you've been to this blog before you probably recognize this technique, as one I call Karen's signature stitch.  If you're new though to this sight, or just haven't seen this before, please check out the video I've posted a few times demonstrating how to perform this technique.

Karen has been a very generous and long time supporter here on Bridge and Beyond who does beautiful work.  Many many thanks Karen, we truly appreciate you and your skills.

Please keep up the good work and know you make a difference!
**The counts on our progress bars are current. All donations regardless of size and number are valued. All donations are appreciated. The Power of One is awesome, and when we work together The Power of One becomes The Power of Many.

  1. I've used the crochet on the double technique before. It does make such a nice, warm finished scarf. Karen's work is so pretty! Goodjob!

    1. Thanks Sandie for the visit and comment. I keep saying I'm going to try it, but haven't yet. I do really like the look and it is extra warm.

    2. Sandy, whenever I make one of these I use these rules for the loops. 1) put loops on hook, 2) slide, 3) turn, 4) take loops off. If you're working with two colors, if you find you are picking up the same color yarn as the loops on your hook you’re at the wrong end. It's saved me many a time when I had to drop my work.
