This wonderful donation comes from many hands. A group called Stitches to Share at Otterbein College in Westerville knitted, crocheted and collected this donation. Students, and faculty gather in library on campus to knit and crochet for charity. They spread their donations out among lots of different charities. They teach folks to knit and crochet as well, so even if you think you can't help...they bridge that gap by teaching their crafts to others. In addition they often have donated yarn they share with those wanting to join in.
I meant Penny S at an agreed upon location to collect this donation from her. I appreciated her suggestion to meet up, it saved me from driving there. Plus, it's always nice to meet like minded people.
Many thanks Penny and Stitches to Share for this thoughtful donation. Please keep up the good work!

ReplyDeleteI have been having trouble the last 3 days posting. Instead of a word or numbers, I am getting pictures to click on...drinks, food, birthday cake, steak. Is anyone else having a problem?
Sometimes on sites I get the pictures, sometimes the words. I don't like either, never used either until several of our friends were having trouble, so then added it and for those that had trouble it was better. Keep me posted Sue. I wish I knew what the problem was, for years it was fine without captcha, but then even though I had it turned off it activated for non bloggers.
DeleteThought I would try tonight to see what was doing.
DeleteWhen I clicked verify, it gave me the green check mark. Worked wonderful.
That is a wonderful group! Great way to socialize and meet people, plus help the less fortunate!

Exactly a perfect way to spend time Betty.
DeleteAs I read your posts, I am continually amazed at the generosity of people. Also their ingenuity to find different ways to help.
ReplyDeleteI often feel that way also Lynda, people are pretty awesome; though that's not what you'd think listening to the news some days.
DeleteWonderful donation and great way to bring in young kids to have them help others and see what is around them
ReplyDeleteExactly right Birgit, they are helping people, but they're also teaching others to help along with teaching them to knit or crochet...a life long skill.
DeleteVery nice donation
ReplyDeleteThank you for your on going supportive visits and comments, Sherry, it's truly appreciated.
