Woot Woot! 14 marvelous crocheted hats delivered to my door from our good friend Tristi K. Thank you for tagging them with size, and thank you for delivering them. As you all know, if you've visited lately...I'm again playing catch up. I've traveled alot this month both inside and outside the country. (Love to have you visit Traveling Suitcase where I'm blogging about my adventures in Spain, Click Here
I've also been working more hours then normal, and April (for those who blog) is the month for the annual blog challenge. Whew.......hoping things slow down a bit. Not here on Bridge and Beyond though. And look what else our friend Tristi crocheted and donated! This afghan will be soooooo appreciated by whomever receives it Tristi. Thank you for your hard work. Ok.....anyone know why the font suddenly changed?
Though it is spring (and now the font changes back?), it is still cold here many days and nights. Sitting inside right now with cold feet and a fleece on if that gives you any ideas. Donations are still needed. So thanks to all whom are keeping their yarn and hands busy.

Tristi thank you so much for this terrific donation! I for one love all those "happy lids"! If I wore one of those hats I know it would put a smile on my face! So I am sure who ever receives one of those hats will have a very happy day whenever they wear it!! Your Afghan is lovely too! Someone will feel very special when they snuggle under it! Thanks for using your time and talent to help the homeless and those less fortunate Tristi!
ReplyDeleteI know that the people who receive your hats and afghans will appreciate it. They know that
ReplyDeletesomeone like you cares. So I shall say thank you for them and all the others that give.
Very nice donation Tristi. Everything looks so warm. We are still having cool weather here in MI also, so I know that warm items are still needed.
ReplyDeleteI would like to know where I can send donations?? =]
ReplyDeleteThanks Sally, Janis and SSeger for your visits and comments, much appreciate your on going support.
ReplyDeleteJanessa...awesome, thanks for your interest. Sent you an email and added you to the facebook group. Welcome!
Trist like your afghan, do you have the pattern for the big squares. Rosemarie
ReplyDeleteRosemarie, the squares are just plain double crochet. I crochet insanely tight so my gauge, with an L hook and regular Red Heart Super Saver, is 33 dc per row for 18 rows gives me a 12" square. When I put the afghan together I make sure the rows are going different ways (horizontal vs. vertical) to give it more visual interest.
ReplyDeleteHTH,
PS thanks to all of you for your kind comments
Tristi, thank you for giving me the pattern. Rosemarie
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of helping others with homemade items. I have been giving things to local charities for about a year.
ReplyDeletePS I didn't notice any font changes.
Nicole, I don't see the font changes now either, lol. Go figure sometimes these things go wonky.
