More Helping Hands for Homeless

Please say hello to Pat O from New York, our newest pair of helping hands.  Pat's crocheted 2 scarves and included much needed personal care items in her donation.  The blue scarf I believe is made with double yarn as it's nice and thick, though it could be bulky yarn?  Did you crochet using 2 strands of yarn, Pat?

Welcome to the group, hope to see you here often on Bridge and Beyond.

*Reminders:
Please avoid using white, tan, beige and in general pastels
Please always tag your hats, slippers, and mittens with size
Please launder your items if you have furry friends who like to sit on your crafted items, plus it softens them up and gives a more finished look.
Please include a note in your box with your name and email address

  1. WELCOME PAT. These are two lovely scarves. I like the red one. Very nice and cozy looking and love the fringe. I am sure all the personal stuff will be appreciated. This is something that is hard to get if you are living in the elements, but so necessary to make you feel good about yourself. Thank you for your help and please continue to help the Ohio Homeless. Again welcome to the group and GOOD JOB.

  2. Hi Pat and welcome to Bridge and Beyond. Love your scarves and thank you for the much needed personal items. I'm a former New York state person myself and we know how cold it gets in the northern states. Thanks again for your help.

  3. Very nice scarves and will surely be appreciated. I have a question------ I have been looking at inexpensive circular knitting machines on the internet to use for charity hats and scarves. Have you or any of your group used them or are they not worth the trouble? I have been crocheting most of my hats and scarves as I am a slow knitter.

  4. I've never tried the circular knitting machines, but have also wondered about them. Several folks use the round looms and they work well, so I would think the machine would also. Let me know Betty if you give it a try.
