A Family Crochets Together to Donate Together

Thank you Marjorie M, and sister Kari...AND Shelbie...Shelbie's Marjorie's granddaughter and she's learning to crochet.  How cool is that!  Always love hearing people have taught someone else how to knit or crochet...such an awesome thing to do.  Can you feel the love here folks!  Over Thanksgiving the family was together and pooled their resources, their skills, and their donations.

  3. The hats look great and will definitely keep someone warm and cozy! And I think it's great teaching your granddaughter how to crochet. My Mom taught me A LONG time ago, and now that she's no longer with me, I cherish it even more. It's something Shelbie will always cherish too!

  4. Thanks ladies. It was fun to do as a group. Shelbi is a senior this year so we cherish our time with her.:+)
Tristi, the hat is chain 48, double crochet 24 rows, seam up the side, gather the top with double yarn. secure and that is it. Gather as close to the top as possible for a nicer look. The pattern is my sisters creation when we couldnt find anything else. 24 rows for M, 20 for W and size accordingly for kids and even dolls. We did AG dolls and Barbies for a church bazaar and they sold like hot cakes. Easy Peasy..Thanks again. Stay warm.:+)

  7. Thanks Marj.. that really does sound easy. Is it done in back loop only? I ask cuz it looks ribbed.

  8. Back loop only Tristi. It is just a big rectangle. Measures about 18 inches for men. Have taught a couple of women to do them at my club as they are new crocheters and it is an easy project. Think everyones husband is getting one for christmas.....:+)
