Cotton Washcloths for Homeless

Another dozen pretty cotton washcloths crocheted and donated by our long time friend and supporter, Sandie P from Louisiana.  Very nice mix of colors, bright and cheery.  Keep up the good work my friend.
Some folks have wondered why the cotton washcloth fad has become so popular.  Many reasons...
  1. They're fun and quick to make
  2. They're pretty
  3. They're versatile, as they can be used as a washcloth for the body (which are really really nice), and they can be used as a dishcloth.
  4. The shelters love them as use them when people are in for a night and have no means of clean up, they use them in their moving in kits (when they transition from shelter living to permanent housing).

    I love the cotton clothes. I use them in my kitchen. They wash up so nice and are good for alot of uses including pot holders. Yours are lovely Sandie. Spring colors. So Pretty.

    Thanks for the visit and comment Marj. I too loved the bright pretty colors of Sandie's cotton cloths. I don't use them for potholders, though..I'm too clumsy and have to use those mittens to keep from burning mysef.

    Those are all so bright and cheerful. I use cotton washcloths in the kitchen as both dish cloths and potholders and I use them as washcloths in the bathroom. So versatile and comfy cozy. Great donation Sandie!

    Love all the pretty colors Sandie. I love to do washcloth/dishcloths as my to go item to knit. I have done lots of them while waiting.

    Thanks for the kind comments. I love cotton cloths and use them myself in my kitchen. This particular pattern wouldn't be good for potholders as they have an open weave row but I've done double-thick (either two pieces together or the magic square) which work great for potholders.

    Ithink the vote is in, we are all lovers of the cotton cloths. I in fact have two bright red ones in a bag right now for my sister for valentines day. We are going to lunch. Tell me more about this magic square,sandie.
