Ok, maybe the math header, the square root is a bit much. How could the square root help the homeless? Well....squares do help the homeless. Squares that are knitted, squares that are crocheted, squares that are solid, squares that have many colors all help the homeless. They are joined together. We all when people and things join together good things happen. Linda J has a nice variety here of both knitted and crocheted squares that will be joined to make an afghan used to welcome someone home. Being homeless is physically and mentally difficult. Getting into a shelter is a relief, you have a roof over your head at least.......but, you're still homeless. The various shelters, Homeless Families Foundation, The Family Shelter through Faith Mission, and the Family Shelter through the YWCA all work to get people back in their own homes.
Getting back into permanent, family style housing is something to be celebrated. We donate afghans to say, "Welcome Home". Congratulations on getting back into a family home, and best of luck for the future. The shelters work to provide guidance and training needed to get families going again.
Donated squares help us do that. We're currently providing afghans to Homeless Families Foundation through joining our squares together. Click HERE, if you'd like to see some of the afghans made from our donated squares. I'm hoping to get some additional photo's added to update the page, so please continue to check in.
Thank you Linda J, please keep up the good work.
