Our very good friend, Liz (minnisoda on The Ville), included squares with her most recent donation. Before adding her squares to the square containers I came up with this design, Crown Jewels from some of her squares. Unsure yet what color I'll be wanting to edge and join this ghan with; but love these colors together. If I join with orange, believe it will take on a real look of fall, likewise with gold (plus I know I don't have the right shade of gold in my stash. That's as far as my thinking has taken me so far. Feel free to leave me your thoughts.
As always Liz, your squares are awesome and always so well made, many thanks for your on going support and your skillful hands.

I know whatever you come up with will be brilliant. Have you considered black for a stained glass effect? I personally don't work with black much, but the variegated particularly reminded me of that sort of look.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandie, yeah I love the idea of black, just know I don't have it in my stash so try to go with what's on hand....however, the stash can change right, only takes a stash plus adventure out of the house, lol.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea- I'm a crocheter, so I'd love to check back on your blog.
ReplyDeleteBlack would be good. Before I read Sandie's comment I was going to suggest purple, but I'm sure you're the best judge since you can see the squares in "real life!"
ReplyDeleteI really like the variegated squares. Anyone know what yarn was used for those?
ReplyDeleteI love these colors. It still reminds me of summer though. You know best what to trim in. You always put together a great afghan.
ReplyDeleteThanks all for the visits and ideas on colors. I'll see if I can find out which variegated the yarn is. It is very pretty, colorful.
