Butterfly Cotton Cloth

butterfly washclothThis is my first attempt at making designs using knitting stitches. I'll use this cotton cloth next month when we focus on 100% cotton washcloths. Now I have one suitable for a male (the camo one, and this butterfly one for a female. This was measures about 8 x 9 inches. Just need to tuck in my final end and lay this aside with the other one.

Since this month is scarf month, I should be making a scarf; but needed something small and easy to tote with my current work schedule.

I announced the other day the extension of our comment contest and hope everyone got a chance to read that. Please help spread the word. Contest will end June 15th. We lost several days due to blogger being out and I want to give as many people as possible the opportunity to get involved.

  3. Thanks Rachele, if you sat down and just did it, probably a couple of hours. Me...several days, cause it was a few rows here, a few rows there. I can't do the counting thing when other things are going on, so did it in small amounts of time.

    Great Marie Anne, appreciate it.

  4. VERY nice! Just for a grin - the other night I was knitting on a cloth that also required counting while @ my daughters tumbling class. I did ok until they started their jumps when the instructor started them all of together with a "5, 6, 7, 8..." I went to wait in the car.

  6. The butterfly washcloth is lovely! I'm working on some crocheted cloths for you in a denim color. Michaels had a sale on 2.5 oz Sugar 'n Cream cotton a couple of weeks ago for $1.00 each. I love a bargain!

  13. The butterfly is a symbol of hope and renewal. Maybe your butterfly will give that to someone who needs it right now. Besides, it's just plain PRETTY -- and way beyond my skill level. Hugs -- Sunny Sandie in FL

  14. That's a beautiful wash cloth! Did you write down the pattern as you made it? I'd love to make one! (Or Many!)

  15. Anna, thanks, but it's not my pattern...it's the first I've attempted to knit something with a pattern.

  17. Wow this turned out great. I also have the problem of staying with the pattern so I've started marking my rows when I am done. This helps me or I would never finish one that looked like it should!
