Pink and Purple Afghan Design

pink & purple designKeep checking in folks. I've been throwing squares and rectangles all over the living room coming up with designs for afghans for our folks at Faith Mission from your generous donations. The above pink and purple combination is sure to bring a smile to someone's face. This is bagged and ready for me to assemble when I finish colorful blocks which is currently in the works. What girl doesn't like pink and purple? Young or old, lol.

This design is made from both squares and rectangles, some are knitted and some are crocheted, some are granny squares and others are sampler style. I know off the top of my head many are squares from Joy, Rose Marie, Karen V, James, and some I've had for a good while from a couple of defunct groups that sent their odds and ends anonymously when they disbanded. Do you see any of your squares or rectangles here? If so, sing out.

Please stay tuned folks, cause while I had the living room a mess...I really went at it designing. Hubby took a look at the living room with squares on all the chairs, coffee table, carpet, etc and said I best leave, "don't want to be in the way of your creating!"

  1. I really like the blanket in progress, nice colors. I have a question about the rainbow project though. I have crocheted 3 pairs of mittens in small sizes. Is that what is needed for the project that is on for January?

  2. Thanks Therese, glad you like the above designed ghan. Anxious to work on it as I think it will be a winner with big and little girls alike. 3 pairs of mittens in any size are good all year long...so January is when the day care is joining ranks with us, where the kids are collecting hats, and mittens for other kids...lots to read about it in the sidebar.
    Thanks

  3. Very nice design! I love to see what you come up with. Your ghans are always lovely. You know, I think some guys really do like pink, but don't want to admit it! LOL

  5. Thanks Foxeni, this design makes me think of my daughter. When she was young she loved loved purple and pink like all little girls do; but now she loves purple and green and has for some time. Guess the purple is truly her favorite.
