Crocheted Cotton Washcloths Aids Homeless

Thank you Lisa M from Philly, our newest pair of helping hands.  Like Robin yesterday, Lisa is from the group on Ravelry that rotates what charity they make items for.    WElcome to the group.  Hope to see you here often on Bridge and Beyond.

Crocheted Cotton Washcloths have so many uses.  They are used for folks who live out in the elements both as washcloths and dishcloths.  They are used by those in the shelters when they first get a night off the streets, can you imagine how good it feels to take a shower with a nice soft hand made (knitted or crocheted) cotton cloth...we all know they are much nicer than a regular washcloth.  AND they are used when families transition from shelters living to their permanent housing situation...they are included in the welcome home packs and again are used as either dishcloths or washcloths.

Many thanks Lisa.

Hats for Homeless

Thank you Robin our newest pair of helping hands for this two blue crocheted hats.  Robin belongs to a group on Ravelry that rotates what charity they make things for and Bridge and Beyond was selected awhile back.

Two warmer heads will be happy and blue is always a good color, it works for girls or boys.  I really like the blue variegated one, don't believe I've come across that particular mix before.

Thank you and hope to see you hear often on Bridge and Beyond.  Please keep up the good work

Knitting and Donating Helps Others

Thank you Sue S for your on going support of Bridge and Beyond and the Homeless here in Central Ohio.  Sue's been busy knitted cotton wash cloths and scarves.  Please click to see the details of the cotton wash cloths...the designs very nice.  AND I particularly like the gray one on the right with the diagonal design...what stitch is that?  She's also included personal care items and nice soft warm scarves.  Not sure I've seen that blue variegated yarn before, really like the color mix.

Many thanks and please keep up the good work Sue.  Also, I always appreciate you're taking the time to visit and make comments here on the blog!

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
