Knitted Afghans Give Hope

Another knitted afghan from my long time friend (junior high and high school friend...practically back in the dark ages, lol), Marilyn M.   This nice thick warm afghan is made with double chunky yarn, I think and looks very southwest to me in it's design.  The family who receives this is going to be thrilled.  Sorry the picture is a bit dark folks, hard to get decent pictures sometimes when it's dark and gloomy outdoors.........even with all the inside lights on.

Many thanks for all your efforts Marilyn, please keep up the good work!

As you know our afghans provide physical warmth, but they also provide hope for a brighter future for the families we serve.

Lunch Time Crochet aids Homeless

More hats and scarves from Jane Burmeister and her Sullivan Group.  This is the group that gets together at work and crochets.
Lots of scarves for the ladies, some of the hats above will be great for the school kids.
And these nice thick warm slipper socks will really make folks feel loved and warm.  Thank you for tagging time to tag the slipper socks with size, much appreciated.

I've tried off and on for several weeks to make contact with Jane and or the group to no avail.  I've searched through my emails with no luck, facebook, and twitter.  If anyone from the group is viewing the blog, please make contact using either the comment section below the post or the contact me option in the right side bar.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
