Mittens for Homeless Hands

Someone put the music on, cause you know where I am.  Yep...if you've been here before you know I am dancing in the street with glee.  Those who don't want to join me dancing can clap along the side lines.  lol  I LOVE having folks make and donate mittens...cold hands are miserable and mittens aren't something easy for lots of us to make so ...that's why I dance in the street when we get mittens donated.
These lovely mittens for men, women, and children are beautifully knitted from our good friend and long time supporter, Sandra R from the sunny state of Florida.  She has mad mitten knitting skills folks.  How I wish she could come sit next to me and others who want to learn and teach us.

AWESOME donation Sandra, please keep up the good work.  Extra thanks too for tagging and joining every pair with size.  Truly you ROCK!

AND...she packed some sunshine in her box too, how cool is that!
**Please check in daily folks, and remember larger donations are separated in order to have fewer pictures per post, fewer items in a picture so you can see the lovely items better, and to help us with a blog post daily......which you've heard me say repeatedly helps the blogs placement, which in turn helps us reach more helping hands in order to warm more people in need.**

Homeless Need Your Help, Please Donate

Thank you Patty C, fellow Ohioan for this thoughtful donation of crocheted hats and scarves.  Hats are in a variety of sizes and colors which helps us warm a variety of cold heads.  Patty's also taken the time to tag her hats with size.  YIPPEE!
We ask everyone to tag hats, mittens, and slippers with size and to please pair mittens and slippers that need to stay as a pair.  The hats can be worn with or without a brim depending on weather conditions and or the size of the head needing warmth.

Please keep up the good work, Patty.

Knitting warms Heads and Hands of Ohio's Homeless

Put your hands together folks and help me clap.  You know, if you visited this blog before how excited I get when we get mittens...you know I clap, you know I dance in the street.  Our good friend, Sandra R for the sunny state of Florida has the gift many of us would love to have...that is to be able to know mittens.  She's knitted mittens of nice darker colors in sizes appropriate for adult men and women, and for the kiddos!  Awesome!!
She's also knitted a variety of sizes, colors, and styles of hats to warm cold heads in need.   Special thanks Sandra for always tagging your hats and mittens with size, truly it is such a big saver both here for me and once things arrive at the various shelters and or passed along to our friends Rae and or Lynn to distribute for us, directly.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
