Donation from New York for Ohio's HOmeless

Thank  you Robert L from New York for this thoughtful donation.  There are hats, scarves, slippers, a neck warmer and socks.  Robert is our newest pair of helping hands.  While I'm not really sure this donation is from Robert, there was no note in the box so I only have the return address to go by.  I suspect Robert's wife is the creator of said donation.  But, doing a search for an email from a Robert L. didn't produce an email for me in in box.  I'm hopeful whomever sent this will respond either here via comments, or email me at sandycrochet@gmail.com or use the contact form in the right side bar.  It's not that Robert couldn't be the new pair of helping hands, we do have some men in the group; it's just less common.

My apologies for not being able to contact you to let you know your donation arrived safe and sound.

Helping Homeless Through our Donations

Thank you Emily P for thoughtful donation.  Emily has covered a couple of areas here with her donation variety.  She has crocheted scarves, nice large ones the adults will enjoy and items Rae will put to good use as she prepares and feeds cold homeless folks on Saturday mornings.  She's included plastic grocery and garbage bags, Styrofoam cups, and plastic containers.  There's also a nice cheery cotton washcloth.

The plastic containers will be used for left overs and meal preparation, the cups to serve hot chocolate and coffee, the garbage bags for the homeless to put their few belongings in, the grocery bags to carry their hot meal in.

Very nice and please keep up the good work, Emily.

What a haul!

The box from June M in Michigan overflowed! Socks always are needed (14) pairs, mittens (3), scarf (1), 5 sweatshirts, down type vest, 4 flannel shirts, 3 pr heavy hunting type socks, and 8 packages of soap wrap in a wash cloth in their own zip lock bag! I love the way you wrap those, sorry it doesn't show up real well in the photo. Very nice, personal care items are always in short supply. June you made my day and think how many people we can warm with your generous and thoughtful donation. It's so cold right now June I'm gonna rush this delivery; those folks under the bridge really really need these items.

Many thanks

Trying to get current with pictures....

crocheted scarf A picture I missed yesterday, ruffle scarf by Scarlet. This is that nice soft homespun yarn.

crocheted poncho A grey shawl, perhaps the coming home pattern. I'll save that for another delivery, as it might be more suited to a wee warmer weather, or perhaps one of the needy ladies at the clinic. Another one of Scarlet's creations.
crocheted neck gators these are cute little neck collars, will hold these should we get children and or someone at need there at the clinic. Think I might need to get this pattern from Scarlet, can't you see this as a way to jazz up a boring blouse? That is if I ever get around to making anything for myself. lol
crocheted and knitted scarves 2 scarfs from Molly, holding in the in case we get kids group. The multi color scarf is a keyhole design. I've never made one of those. Looks like it would surely stay in place, a definate need for a child.
knitted wrists warmers Hand/wrists warmers another Molly creation.

Can you believe how talented and giving our team is!!!

Hoping to get a few other pics posted later today, soooooooo please do check back.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
