There was a little bit of room left in your box and searched to see if you'd packaged any sunshine for us....must have forgotten, lol.

Mittens, lovely mittens for the homeless!

Mittens!!! See me doing the mitten dance? lol 5 pairs of fun colored knitted mittens from our good friend Linda in Florida. Love these Linda. I know I've asked before; but have forgotten and need to post.-- What pattern did you use? These are knitted with straight garter stitch and look like they wouldn't be too hard to make. They're nice and stretching too which is a plus for sizing. I snagged the largest pair for The Bridge and 4 will go to kids with cold hands in the clinics and The Mission. Wonderfully made, and fun colors too.

Announcement for the winner of the contest will be this Friday, the 12th, which should allow enough mailing time from anyone who sent mittens out on the 8th which is the deadline for the contest. That doesn't mean though folks we don't still need them long after the contest ends. Keep knitting and crocheting, please and thanks. 31 pairs thus far. Let's hope we can raise that number a bit with what might still be in the mail.

Helping the Homeless is a year long Quest

Beautiful, beautiful. Look what Linda in sunny Florida sent us~ She and her knitting needles have been very busy playing together. 3 hats, can you believe how cute the red pinky one in the lower right is......or the scarlet and gray with earflaps that Stella's showing off. Toooooooo cute for sure. 3 pair of mittens, red, green, and a cool variegated pair; and a neat neck gator AND an awesome multi-colored scarf. These beauties were all knitted with nice soft warm yummy yarn. Thank you bunches Linda!

Folks the weather here is finally warm, or at least it is most days; though we've continued to have some nasty cool wet nights which always causes me to look ahead, plan ahead for a few months down the road. Let's keep those hooks and needles flying so when the unpredictable central Ohio weather turns we'll be ready and people won't go cold. We do continue to knit, crochet, loom and collect all year long.

Remember June is Sock it to Me Month. If you can, we'd love to collect some socks for the men. White or dark colors. I buy in bulk when I see a good sale. If you can send socks great; if you'd prefer to save on postage and send money towards socks that too is good. Socks for wet feet are needed all year long.

Fun, Fabulous and Warm MITTENS!!

Look at these wonderful, fun warmth mittens. 8 pairs of various sizes. Fabulous Linda. Thanks bunches. Two great kids hats, and a really fun bright colored scarf too.

Linda, I love how these mittens were knit length ways. Does this mean you didn't need DP's? Were they knit straight on regular needles? Please post the pattern, or leave a link if you can.

And look at the darling hat with ear flaps! Soooooooooooo cute. Hey Linda, could ya send us some sun shine from Florida too? lol

Doing a Happy Dance!!

These are soooooooooo darling. Look at these fabulous hats knitted and donated by Linda down in Florida. All are cute; but I'm particularly partial to the pink one with ear flaps!!! My hubby wants one and so, I'll be contacted Linda to see about sharing a pattern. These are hats #177-178-179-180

She also knitted 2 fabulous pair of mittens (another pattern I think I need to see about). These mitts are stretching enough to fit several sizes with a nice cuff for warmth. Mittens #42-43

And a neck Gator...now, how perfect is that. Florida Gators after all, lol
