Sixty Hats donated from The Luscious Loomer!

hats for homeless60 Hats in bag, 60 hats in the bag
Take one out to give it out, 59 hats in the bag
59 hats in the bag, 59 hats in the bag
Take one out to give it out, 58 hats in the bag....come on sing with me. Sing good though please, lol!

60 Loomed hats from our good friend, Frank, the one I've named the Luscious Loomer. 60 kids will now have warm heads. AWESOME! Frank I think maybe I asked last year, but don't remember. Which size loom do you use for your hats? I divided this up for kids and teens at the Y's Family Shelter, and the kids at the free clinics. I posted some info about sizing and color the other day (sizing info from Bev's blog). I wanted to tell people which size to use for adults, so assume it would be the one larger then the size you use? Or are there 2 sizes above the one you use? Can you fill us in, thanks.

As always Frank, many thanks for your thoughtful donation and your continued support and friendship.

Did you notice, we've added additional states to our list of places where our wonderful donators live. Scroll down and check out the map. Is your state noted? If not, please check the lists here on the blog to see if I have the state you're from...if not, please sing out. Trying to get everything documented. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have every state represented with a big hearted knitter or crochter or loomer!

TIP: Please remember to leave tails and tuck them in vs knotting and cutting. Thanks.

All donations regardless of size and number are valued. All donations are appreciated, and all donations keep someone warm. We help, one stitch at a time. YOU truly DO make a difference. THANK YOU!

The Luscious Loomer Did it Again!

*****Only 1 post left before we see who the winner of the contest is, but YOU still have time to enter, CLICK TO READ HOW*****

loomed hatsDear Dear Sweet Fabulous Frank, otherwise known as "The Luscious Loomer" did it again. Hats, hats, HaTs. Pick a color any color. Frank and his fabulous fingers make that loom zoom.
knitted hatsLots of great colors too for the guys. I'll divide this up between the 2 free clinics for the kids.
hats knitted on a loom We will be sending some to The Mission. Just recently, we've learned there's a huge need for families in temporary housing who would otherwise be homeless. The Mission houses mothers and children who were/are homeless; as well as some who've been abused. I can wear most of these hats so I know they will fit the teens, and some smaller women as well.
hats for homelessI'm pleased to say we're listed in a few more places and so word is indeed spreading father. The good news is that means more folks are helping us. The more who help us, the more we can help. It feels so good to be able to help someone. Many of us perhaps don't have the ability to make the mounds that our friend, Frank does; but we all do have the ability to help one item at a time. No donation is too small. Please remember we help, one stitch at a time, one item at a time, one person at a time. The one item you make DOES make a difference!

Keep up the good work one and all.

HATS of many Hues for Homeless

This is post #186(only 14 post left before we hit 200 when the winner of the blog contest will be announced)

knitted hats for homelessOur luscious loomer comes through again with flying colors! Look at these wonderful wonderful hats. Solids, varigated, ton tones....Frank's knitted on his faster than the speed of light looms again. WOW, he leaves me speechless. The larger hats will go directly to our folks under the bridge while the others will be divided to keep kids and their moms warm at the 2 free clinics.

I feel like cheering. Frank Frank he's own man, if he can't do it, nobody can! Ok, I know corny cheer like that show how old I am; but seriously if I could do a handstand or a cartwheel or anything along those lines; I would indeed be cheering. Kids, Moms, and the homeless men under the bridge will all benefit from Franks fabulous hats.

HUGS and many many thanks Frank. Keep up the good work, it is so truly appreciated.

***Don't forget about the contest, help us celebrate a milestone. We're counting down to hitting milestone of 200 blog posts. We're giving away free yarn. You can't win, if you don't enter. Read how to enter HERE, and get busy. Time's a tickin.

Great Excitement, A Wonderful first Hubby and Wife!

Karen and Frank from South Carolina have just joined our fabulous group.  They're our first couple, and Frank's a hat making machine!!  Seriously, I am in receipt of 65 hats.  They're are fabulous, vary a bit in size and are made with lots of wonderful colors.

I'm still having issues with pictures with the change over in my photo soft ware, so my photo's aren't coming out quite as well.  Sorry, I do hope you can see how wonderful all these Fabulous Frank Hat's are.

Frank's hats are loomed, they are nice and heavy, made with a variety of yarn.  Both he and Karen enjoy knitting, crocheting, looming for the benefit of others.  Living in a warm climate they said they were thrilled to find us and be a part of the cause.  Please welcome both Karen and Frank.  I've added a link to our team list on the side bar so you're able to visit their blog.

Again, many thanks!

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
