Sunshine and Donations from Florida

Three skeins, red, blue and moss green or sage green.  Never quite sure what to call this shade, but it's a great shade that's nice to have on hand, as it blends in with so many colors.  These 3 skeins came with the goodies below

from our friend Alexia L in Florida.  She's donating crocheted hats, for men, women, and children and fun crayon colored squares.  Let's keep our friend Alexis in our hearts and minds, as her Arthritis is now keeping her from crocheting.  I know how I would, as would many of you; go through withdraw.  We appreciate your support, and hope you'll continue to visit us here on Bridge and Beyond; even if your hands won't allow you to stitch any longer.  Take Care of yourself, and again many thanks!

If memory serves me right, I have some very similar fun colored squares in my holding area, perhaps I can put them all together and design a cheery afghan with them, if not those in my memory...there will be something...I know.  Stay tuned.

A Powerful Pile of Practical Goodness for the Homeless

Day 17 of Jack Otis Memorial Month

knitted items for homeless WOW...look at this powerful pile of practical goodness for our homeless in need donated by our friend Alexis! Those of you who visit and read the blog often know I sometimes go bonkers with the words...powerful pile etc. lol But, seriously......it's true. Donations for Ohio's Homeless is indeed a very powerful thing to do, AND this is quite a pile! Hats, scarves, slippers, cotton washcloths, squares for ghans, and socks.

Thank you Alexis for your on going support of our cause, it's greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work.

Folks....look at how our numbers are growing and growing. Each and every stitch helps someone in need, be they a man on the street, a woman or child in a shelter, or a homeless family living in temporary housing to keep from being on the street. We've added several groups to those we help so it's important and necessary to see those numbers grow. You are all fantastic!

A for an Excellent Donation

personal care items for homelessThank you Alexis in Florida. A for an excellent donation of goodies. Alexis was feeling patriotic and made Red, White, and Blue Squares knowing squares were our July focus. NICE! She crocheted her first ever washcloth too, awesome. Ponchos (8) for the rainy times, that we seem to have an abundance of, razors (20) and deodorants (6) to add to the person care packages. She also sent along some regular (4) washcloths.

Thank you for thoughtful donation, Alexis, it's very much appreciated.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
