Bright Desert Afghan

Bright Desert when it was designed.  The picture is a bit light.  Several types of squares here from several different pairs of helping hands.   Most are squares worked in the round, but the bright blues are squares worked side to side.  I love the variety you get with different kinds of squares, different textures, and size sometimes too.

Thank you Sarah S!  Bright Desert turned out GREAT!  So, this is the after, after Sarah worked her magic with edging and joining.  And as you can see pictures taken in different light always makes the colors vary.
Wanted to take a couple so you could see it from a different angle.  Colors in the desert are ever changing, based on the light and the time of day, this afghan really brings that thought home to me.  Some think there's no color in the desert, but I've seen lots of variances from our camping and hiking days in the desert.......when we were younger.

Beautiful job Sarah, we truly appreciate you're helping hands!  Keep up the good work.  The folks that receive this ghan are going to be thrilled.

*be sure and pop back in for the other portion of Sarah's donation

  1. WOW! Bright Desert changed totally from the first picture to the last. I had looked at the squares first and then when I scrolled down would not have recognized it as the same blanket. Shows that everyone has a different idea in their mind of what something is going to look like when completed.I guess I was thinking dark and Sarah was thinking light. Interesting. GOOD JOB SARAH!
We got an amazing rain storm last night. An inch an hour in some areas. Some cities got 5 inches in as many hours. Over with now and it will take awhile to dry out.I was just out pouring water out of everything. Will not need to water for a while. Thats for sure. Lawn needed it. Hope everyone had a good place to be through the night last night.GOD BLESS THE HOMELESS. marj in minnesota

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
