Crocheted Donations and More for Ohio's Homeless

Our good friend, Cheryl S. sent several boxes.  In order for you to see her goodies I've taken separate pictures and made separate posts...grouping things as it were.  Scarves, hats, and cotton washcloths were in one box.
And in the 2nd box more goodies.  You can see lots of personal items, socks, slippers, and pouches to house personal care items.  Cheryl's made a wonderful blue kitchen set (upper right corner of the picture, please click to enlarge) with hot pads, dishcloth, dishtowel and towel hanger...can't think what those are callled.  Help me someone.  Won't that make a wonderful part of the welcome home packages.

Also, if you click to enlarge the photo you can see the nice pouches which will hold a good number of personal care items such as toothbrush and paste, combs, shampoo, soap etc.  Then please notice the lower left corner.

Here I blew it up for you.  A cute doll set which some little girl will be so thrilled with for Christmas.  The doll has cloths, some of which Cheryl crocheted, a blanket, a backpack, t-shirt....truly adorable.  She is soooooooo creative.  Even the little basket/basinette carrier the doll is in is crocheted.  Cheryl can you share a pattern?  I think others might like to make one...if not for Bridge and Beyond this Christmas for one of their wee family members.

I do wonder everyone's thoughts on doing some more of this type of thing, and the Christmas set from a few days ago HERE, for next season?  These aren't items to keep people home, they aren't necessary in that they aren't essentials; so please speak freely your opinion.  Does having a project like this for next year work with out mission?

I was not sure what you were asking Sandy. Were you talking about making Christmas gifts for the homeless next year? If so I think it is a good idea. Count me in.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
