Purple Passion Afghan Design

I'm thinking Purple Passion should be the name of this afghan. What do you think? It's many shades of purple, violets with some green and brown. Might edge and join in off white? As always it depends on my stash assortment of color when the time comes.

I still have plenty of designs to share with you. Remember, back a few posts I've mentioned a major design fest here in my living room. You should be seeing lots of your squares folks here, and in previous posts, as well as in upcoming posts. Did you miss them? Scroll back and see if you can identify some of yours. PLEASE PLEASE make a point to read the change in policy regarding knitting/crocheting and donating squares. Click HERE, or refer to the squares tab on the top of the blog.

**You're probably understanding why I've not called for squares, given the number I have, and hopefully also understanding why I need to simplify things with the new requirements of only accepting squares, not rectangles and only at certain times, and only 1 size (8 x 8).**

All donations regardless of size and number are valued. All donations are appreciated, and all donations keep someone warm. We help, one stitch at a time. YOU truly DO make a difference. THANK YOU!

  1. White would be a good color to use. However, I kinda wonder what a lavender would do? Would it work with the greens and the browns?

  2. Hum...lavendar, maybe? Might have to look and see how it goes together given the shades. I try to never use white due to the dirt factor. Often trying to do laundry is a real issue for these folks so I try to stick to colors that won't show the dirt as much. White I think would be far to contrasting with these darker colors.

  3. I'm catching up and had a look at some of the afghans you laid out. You've got your work cut out for you for some time to come. I always love to see what you come up with. This one has a lot of dark colors so perhaps something to lighten it up a bit in the joining. Would the lavender do for male or female? I was thinking maybe a light tan. I know whatever choice you make it will be lovely!

  4. Thanks Sandie for the visits and ideas, always appreciated. I think you're right lavender would limit it only being appropriate for a female. Tan would work nicely, and I was thinking if I had a lot of dark brown, I do love things joined in dark colors, but currently that's not in my stash.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
