Donations from Germany!

If you've been reading post lately, you know our Dear Friend, Katie B sends knitted and crocheted goodies all the way from a military base in Germany. If that doesn't make you believe in the goodness in people......I don't know what will. Thank you, Thank you Katie for remember your roots back here in Ohio and thank you to you and your husband for serving abroad. We are lucky to have people like the two of you serving us.

Katie's on going support of our cause is soooooooooooo awesome. She's crocheted and donated 10 cotton washcloths, 6 scarves, and 11 hats. Katie...you ROCK!

2012 Donations:
Hats:
290+11=301
Scarves: 187+6=193
Slippers: 65
Shawls: 2
Sweaters 3
Vest 1

Mittens: 135
Squares: 280
Socks: 106
Rain Poncho's 154
Cotton Washcloths 144+10=154
Misc Items are not counted individually (such as personal care items, headbands, gators, yarn, wrist warmers/fingerless gloves, facemasks, neck warmers, t-shirts etc)

**Reminder folks to tuck in your tails, best to do that as you work rather then leaving them til the end. Working them in as you go makes the item more finished and more secure. **

  1. Very nice donation Katie...as a fellow veteran I thank you for all that you do and as Sandy said it is wonderful that you remember your roots here in Ohio. Love the pattern for your hats. Is it hard?

  4. Thank you everyone! My husband is the soldier in the family and since there aren't many job opportunities on our small base, crocheting for charity makes me feel like I'm doing something productive. I'm very thankful the military has provided us the opportunity to see the world but I will always be a Midwestern gal at heart.

PLEASE leave your name and url, NOT a profile link, not a google or google plus. Only name and url will take me directly to your blog to return the favor of a comment.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
