Stupendous Scarves from Sandie

crocheted scarvesHere's 2 lovely, soft, and warm scarves crocheted and donated by our long time friend and supporter, Sandie (the one in Louisiana...remember we have multiple Sandie's). Look at the fun stripes with such a good color combination on the left. That scarf was crocheted lengthwise, while the pretty purple one next to it was crocheted width wise.

Sandie's work is always top notch! Many thanks Sandie for your on going support, it's greatly appreciated.

  1. Beautiful scarves! And summer is soon over, so (unfortunately) they will soon be very useful to some people. I'm glad there are so many kind people willing to help the homeless in your area Sandy. If only all people without homes could have such compassionate people to bring them warmth and hope. I can't wait to someday be in a better financial position myself so that I have the means to contribute as well.

  2. Hello and nice work from one Sandie in FL to the other in LA. And Anna, try your local thrift stores for yarn...it's ever so much cheaper (sometimes if you tell them what you are making, they give it to you!). That's my source. I haven't tried unraveling wool sweaters, yet as I find plenty of new yarn at the Humane Society Thrift Shop -- benefiting two causes in one. Figuring out the colors is your bonus. Happy crocheting... Sandie in FL

PLEASE leave your name and url, NOT a profile link, not a google or google plus. Only name and url will take me directly to your blog to return the favor of a comment.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
