Vacation Ghan for Homeless

My darling daughter started this ghan over her Thanksgiving break when she came to visit for a few days, and picked it up again when she returned for Christmas. Thus my naming it, vacation ghan. She crocheted it in stripes using a variety of stitches. The variegated stripes are v-stitch, and the vertical stripes are a combination of double crochet (green), and shells with front post double crochet (cream, burgundy, and dusty rose).
ghan in progressWanted to show you her progress. Once she got the variegated stripes done she got the idea for the shells and began crocheting the vertical portion.
vacation ghan beginningShe made wonderful headway before she had to head back to St. Louis. I'll be finishing it up for her by joining the sections and completing the last section of shells, and doing something about a border.
ghan in progressWhat a wonderful way to spend one's vacation, making something for someone else. This ghan will go to Faith Mission.

Thank you darling daughter. Wish you could have stayed longer. Thank you for your thoughtful donation and giving your time.

  4. I will officially become Anonymous because I don't know how else to submit this message! I am computer challenged. Sandy taught me once, but I forget and just threw away the instructions. With much chagrin, Joy D.

  5. Thanks Joy for your comments, I'll pass along the nice compliment to my DD, Christine when I talk to her next. To leave a message you click name and url and just leave the url portion blank. That way your name is more noticeable.
    Thanks

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
