HATS 51 & 52....Scarf #39

knitted hats
2 Fabulous hats, both knitted from Cheryl, beautiful work. The blue-brownish multi-colored hat is a fun and different shape to it. What do you call that Cheryl? Almost like it has ear flaps which will be nice and warm. Thanks so much for helping us.
crochet scarf
This is a really nice big scarf measures 7 inches wide and 80 inches long so one can really wrap up in this. Crocheted with simple dc. I've not seen this yarn in the stores for some time, purchased it last year. This is the 2nd scarf I've made using this yarn (might have enough left for a 3rd, must check my stash). It's Red Heart, but unsually nice, fluffy, and soft for Red Heart. It's called Zebra in the nice big super saver 244 yard skeins. Last scarf I made with this I knitted, it's interesting how differnt the color swatches look with the same yarn, knitted vs crocheted.

Plan to pass on our 5th bundle to Jan, SIL this Friday. Our friend Rae is under the weather currently. Get well SOON!

  2. The blue multi coloured hat has mock earflaps. The pattern is called Cameron's Cap and can be found here in multiple sizes from newborn up to large adult.

  4. Nice hats. I do like that variegated yarn. And the black and white does make one think of zebra, doesn't it? :)

  5. The funniest thing to me with the black and white Sandie, was how it changed which often happens with variegated yarn. I too love to work with it. You just never know what it's going to end up looking like.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
